Sugi-no-Osugi Cedar Tree

杉の大スギ(Sugi No Osugi)
Make a wish at a towering cedar tree
The Sugi-no-Osugi is one of the tallest cedar tree in the country and estimated to be 3000 years old. While it may look like two trees, it is connected at the root, which explains its nickname, “the wedded cedar”.

The tree is also believed to fulfill peoples’ wishes, ever since a 10-year-old girl wished to become a better musician, and later became one of Japan’s most legendary singers.
