Gently float along the Shimanto River on a sailboat
Sailsboats were once a major form of transportation in the Shimanto River area. These days, the boats are mostly used for leisure and sightseeing. Differing from the other traditional roofed-type boats, these impressive boats have a large white sail. Cruises run for around 50 minutes and there's also an opportunity to take photos at the end of the tour. It's a particularly enjoyable way to experience the calm flow of the scenic Shimanto River.
