Opened in 2019, Sky Hill offers luxurious glamping experiences with large, comfortably furnished tents, spacious wooden decks and all the equipment you need to have a BBQ under the starry skies. After a freshly grilled meal of local Shimanto pork, chicken and veggies, stretch out in the provided hammock to stargaze and listen to the soothing sounds of the wind and crickets as you are lulled to sleep.
You definitely won’t be roughing it here, as the grounds include a clubhouse with a public bath to relax in, along with private showers and pristine bathrooms. They also offer accommodation in cozy trailers and have sites for tents and small camping vans.
This is a great base for exploring the Shimanto area, as sights such as the clear Shimanto River, artsy Iwamoto-ji Temple (the 37th stop on the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage) and outdoor adventures by bike or canoe are just a few minutes’ drive away. For those who enjoy a day on the links, the Sky Hill Golf Club is conveniently located next door.
