Niyodo River, the papermaking process follows time-honored methods using only natural materials—pure river water and high-quality kozo (mulberry).
No chemicals are used, preserving a sustainable, nature-friendly approach to this beautiful handcraft.
The studio offers a variety of experiences: easy beginner-friendly papermaking, creating washi lampshades or collage artworks, and even full-process workshops where you can try everything from peeling the kozo bark to boiling, pounding, and sheet-forming.
