Located along the prefectural border between Kochi and Ehime prefectures, Nakatsumyojinyama offers spectacular views throughout the seasons. In addition to the impressive altitude of 1,541 meters, there are no other large mountains beside Nakatsumyojinyama. This means you can enjoy unobstructed, panoramic views of the landscape all around, including the Tosa Bay and Seto Inland Sea on clear days! It’s certainly worth visiting after sunset too, when countless stars start lighting up the quiet sky
You can of course drive up the mountain, but there is a hiking route perfect for experienced outdoor enthusiasts that stretches approximately 12 kilometers from Mizu-no-Tou, which takes about 3 hours one way
After a rejuvenating day out in nature, how about some delicious and refreshing specialty beer made from 100% Niyodogawa Town mountain spring water and locally-grown ingredients like ginger, sweet potato (satsumaimo) and green tea? Mukai Craft Brewing awaits
