Ioki Cave: Aki City’s hidden gem
Just a 5-minute walk from Ioki Station (on the Gomen Nahari Line), you will find the entrance to a cave covered with vines. As you continue walking, you will find yourself in a Ghibli-esque green world
Walls that are millions of years old are covered with over 40 species of ferns,which give this place a sacred atmosphere. When you walk in further, going deeper into this magical place for about 20 minutes, you will see a small but beautiful waterfall at the end of the route
Let’s go for an adventure into a cave of wonders
Bring rain boots (or you can borrow some for free at the tourist information center in the Ioki Cave parking area, although availability may depend on COVID prevention measures!)
