A river valley train ride from Kochi to Ehime on the Yodo Line

Starting at Kubokawa Station (near artsy Iwamoto-ji Temple) and connecting to Uwajima City in nearby Ehime Prefecture, the Yodo Line cover 76.3km of gorgeous Shikoku scenery, crossing over dramatic bridges, following the river valleys, passing by fields and stopping at 20 stations, many of which are adorably retro (be sure to check out Tosa-Taisho in particular!)

Also known as the Shimanto Green Line, this is one of the prettiest ways of traveling between Ehime and Kochi, and as a bonus, it is covered by the useful ALL SHIKOKU Rail Pass!

Since the train starts in Kubokawa, check out some of the sights of the nearby Shimanto River: https://visitkochijapan.com/en/highlights/shimantoriver
