Monet's Garden Marmottan in Kitagawa Village allows you to literally immerse yourself in landscapes inspired by the famous French artist, Claude Monet. The Flower Garden, Water Garden and Garden of Bordighera all recreate different periods in Monet's art.
May is a great time to visit the garden, as the rose-covered arches, poppies, irises and water lilies are all in bloom, creating a colorful palette that we think it is as close as you can get to experiencing a Ghibli film in real life!
There are regular train connections between Kochi City and Nahari Station, from where there are 6 bus services a day to Monet's Garden Marmottan. We recommend going in the morning, so you have plenty of time to explore.
