The Makino Botanical Garden （Spring flower）

The Makino Botanical Garden stretch over 8 hectares and feature an extensive range of plants and flowers including azaleas and winter daphne. The gardens are also home to around 40 different species of cherry blossoms with a night exhibition held at the end of March. Offering a completely different scene from the day, the night time illumination casts a reflection on the water’s surface creating a profoundly beautiful view.
By taking a 30 minute bus ride from JR Kochi Station, you can experience one of the best botanical gardens in the country!
