Sameura Dam, the biggest dam in the Shikoku region, is also in fact a renowned site for cherry blossom viewing!
From late March to early April, some 2000 cherry blossom trees, that line the shores of the dam, burst into bloom. The trees are strung with lanterns that illuminate the blossoms in the evening, creating a truly unforgettable display.
