Floating in a sapphire autumn dream

As familiar views take on a completely different color and aura with the arrival of a new season, I am reminded of how blessed it is to be surrounded by Kochi’s abundant nature. And of course, it’s not just that there’s a high quantity of forested areas, rivers and mountains, but it’s that they’re all magnificently pristine. Kochi is one of the least populated prefectures in Japan, which means there are still many areas that remain untouched

These photographs by @Akira Tanaka capture one of the many nooks and crannies along Yoshino River’s tributaries. This is an example of a place you might expect to see on every list of must-visit spots in Japan, but in fact remains a precious hidden gem
