Harimaya Bridge
This is Harimaya Bridge, at the heart of Kochi City. This bridge is mentioned in the lyrics of a Yosakoi Festival song called "Yosakoi Bushi". It's also the setting of a legend about a monk and a local girl falling in love. Its vivid vermilion color has established it as a symbol of the area.
The Harimaya Bridge tram stop is within walking distance of Hirome Market and Kochi Castle too.
The bridge is really small and cute, so don't miss it! (^^;)
While you're checking it out, you'll hear music from "Yosakoi Bushi" on the hour. It comes from the automaton clock across the street. Have a great time with all the lovely little things sightseeing in Kochi Prefecture has to offer!
