Kochi prefecture "i" information center (in Tosa Terrace) 

This information shows tourist information offices (category 2) for foreign travelers sanctioned by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).

Just a one minute walk from Kochi Station is the “i” Information Center, where you will find all of the guidance you need to enjoy your time in Kochi. In addition to English brochures and maps available for free, there are generally English-speaking staff on hand to let you in on all of the famous spots and little-known hidden gems of the region.

In addition to answering questions, the Tourist Information Center also offers the following services:

Kochi Tourist Information Center

A tourism information center by Hirome Market

This tourist information center is located in the Obiyamachi shopping arcade, right in the heart of Kochi’s downtown, near the Hirome Market. English-speaking staff can help visitors looking for information about sightseeing, public transportation and local tips. There are many attractions in the area, so feel free to just pop in and pick up some brochures and maps, available in several languages.
In addition to answering questions, the Tourism Information Center also offers the following services:

Ashizuri Uwakai National Park Tatsukushi Visitor Center uminowa

-Relax and learn about the Tatsukushi area-

The name “uminowa” derives from the idea of building connections; connections between the Tatuskushi sea and people, nature and people, and people with people. Situated on the shores of the Tatsukushi Marine Park, home to 105 species of coral and 384 species of sea slugs, and extraordinary rock formations extending out into the open sea.
Tatsukushi visitor center is a space for people to gather and learn about the beautiful nature, people and culture of the region. The staff at the center are experts on information about the Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park, Kochi Prefectural Ashizuri Aquarium, Ashizuri Underwater Observation Tower, and local glass bottom boat and can always assist with the latest information about regional sightseeing and events in both Japanese an English.
The open hall is a great place to rest, there is a designated children’s play area, nursing room for mothers, and shower facilities for everyone to use.

Shimanto City Tourist Information Center

-This information center is all you need to build your perfect Shimanto City itinerary! -

Shimanto City encompasses much of the 196-kilometer-long Shimanto River, which is considered the most pristine, unspoiled river in Japan. This area is well worth a stop during your visit to Kochi. If you’re wondering what to do, stop by the Shimanto City Tourist Information Center located right next to Nakamura Station, the main access point to the city. English-speaking staff are generally on duty and will recommend activities that best fit your interests.

In addition to answering questions, the Tourism Information Center also offers the following services:

--Wheelchairs and other mobility aids are available to borrow free of charge. --

We loan wheelchairs and mobility aids to elderly people who have difficulty getting around and disabled persons free of charge. Additionally, those who need assistance getting around can make reservations in advance for a volunteer who will accompany them.
*Reservations must be made at least one week in advance to receive volunteer support.
