Feel the sea's power at Ryugu Shrine
You might have missed it at first glance, but yes, that is a shrine atop a rocky cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean
Ryugu Shrine is located about 15 minutes from Tosa Shimizu City by car, near the westernmost tip of Kochi Prefecture. From the parking lot, it's about a 20-minute hike down beautiful tunnels of trees that then open up to an incredibly dramatic view of the expansive ocean (make sure to save your strength for the climb back up!)
