Miyanomae Park is right next to the Niyodo River, about a 1-hour drive from Kochi City. In early autumn, their fields are filled with 1.5 million pink and white cosmos flowers
Those flowers are taken care of by locals, and you can enjoy the lovely flowers with a grand view of the surrounding mountains and the river! In previous years there was a Cosmos Festival, which featured yosakoi dance performances, local dishes from the food booth tent, and a magical cosmos maze where you could literally get lost in the flowers! (Let's hope the festival can be held next year!)
Are you interested in staying right next to the cosmos field? Check out these neat modules designed in partnership with architect Kengo Kuma!:
