Kochi Ice, “Made in Tosa”
Kochi Ice is a brand of ice cream made from ingredients locally sourced in Kochi. Their products are found not only in Japan, but in several other countries as well. Kochi Ice’s products include ice cream, gelato and sherbet, as well as citrus juices. Flavors include yuzu, matcha and chestnut.
They even sell ice cream with Mire biscuits inside! And their yuzu milk ice cream also won a spot in the sweets category at the 2021 Kochi’s Finest Foods Grand Prix (Kochi-ke no Umaimono Taisho).
What’s more is that Kochi Ice also has some halal offerings, as well as halal offerings, catering to a variety of dietary needs. It has been certified by the Nippon Asia Halal Association since 2013, meaning that at Kochi Ice, raw ingredients are carefully selected and the products are prepared respecting Islamic dietary practices.
