"Petit Choux Rusk"

"Petit Choux Rusk" made in Tano, Kochi!

Have you ever tried eating a "sweet and salty" dessert? It may sound strange to hear, but it is an incredible tasty surprise!

These Choux Rusks contain a special choux pastry, lots of almonds, and salt caramel made by sun-dried sea salt.

Tanoya Enjiro's salt, which is used to bake these sweets, is prepared exclusively using the power of the sun and sea breeze.

This process takes from 3 to 6 months to complete, where salt is cleaned hourly every day!

The result is so incredible that this salt is in demand by many Michelin Star chefs!

Knowing this, imagine how delicious the "Petit Choux Rusk" should be!

Unsurprisingly, these cookies won two Grand Prix crowns in Japan, in 2016 and 2018, and will participate in the world championships!

They definitely make the best souvenir for your loved ones!

In Tano, you can also try making salt yourself! Here is the link to the activity: https://visitkochijapan.com/en/activities/10138

Once it will be safe to travel again, we hope you will have fun in Kochi, making salt and enjoying tasty patisserie.
