The "Kaorucha" tea leaves are the center of attention for this season.
This tea was harvested from Niyodogawa tea plantations in early September. Kaorucha is a Japanese black tea that has a subtle sweetness and astringency, and a good aftertaste, which is not found in conventional black tea.
Kaorucha is made from "second tea" leaf which is picked 43 days after the "first tea" leaf of "Yabukita", a tea leaf for “sencha”.
In Niyodogawa, there is a cozy and authentic tea cafe called Cha Café Asunaro, where you can enjoy some delicious Kaorucha sweets while admiring a magnificent view of the mountains and the crystal-clear Niyodo River.
Kaorucha is highly recommended if you want to experience new flavors!
