Muroto Schoolhouse Aquarium
This elementary school closed and was remodeled into an aquarium! Since this fantastic idea came to be in April of last year, a hundred thousand visitors came to see the closed-school-turned-aquarium in the first six months! The students of the old school once used the pool where there are now sharks, the vaulting horse with goldfish inside, the fountains where there are now "petting pools" where you can touch the sea cucumber, starfish, shrimp, and more.
It's funny to see how they use expressions like "attendance" and "class dismissed" around the aquarium.
