Tokugetsuro is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year!

Tokugetsuro is a long-established restaurant founded in 1870, where many illustrious people from Kochi Prefecture have enjoyed a meal.

It is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property and it is one of the buildings that Japan as well as Kochi want to pass on to the next generations.
You can enjoy its architecture by admiring the 10-meter long ceiling plate of its large hall, which is made of Yanase Cedar, and the main entrance, which imposing presence will make you feel the history of this restaurant.

The garden, which was designed by a famous gardener from the late Edo period, is also one of its most remarkable spots.
