Kochi Prefectural Ashizuri Aquarium

Come visit the newly-opened Kochi Prefectural Ashizuri Aquarium!!!

Last month, we introduced the Kochi Prefectural Ashizuri Aquarium, which just had its grand reopening. With the concept of a natural marine museum, visitors can now enjoy a further enhanced aquatic experience at the center of the Tatsukushi area.

The aquarium showcases a wide range of exhibits recreating the natural habitat of now about 350 different species, including the bowmouth guitarfish, a rare sight across aquariums even in Japan! Also, in the primeval forest area, guests can even watch otters and Tosashimizu salamanders move about in an environment simulating their above-land habitats using projection mapping technology.
