Time to refresh and unwind at Takasu rice terrace

Could there be a landscape more calming than a rice terrace in the charming Japanese countryside? It’s always been one of my happy places to refresh and unwind especially when life gets a bit overwhelming

Although the view of golden stalks swaying heavy with rice in the autumn breeze is breathtaking, I particularly love visiting rice terraces during the spring planting season when pools of water cover the fields. I could gaze at the glassy liquid canvas for hours, painted by slowly-moving clouds reflected in the water, where the palette changes throughout the day
