""The love I received from the locals was above and beyond. Felt and learnt about the amazing osettai culture (the practice of supporting pilgrims along the way with small gestures) in Shikoku. It was something I have never encountered through all the travels I have done. What a beauty Shikoku is. I fell in love not only with its people but also, nature.""
""Through this over 1400-kilometer journey I was able to learn a lot about myself, to be thankful and appreciate all things in life. You can’t do things alone–people need help and support from each other to live.""

""Make sure you have good shoes and a backpack but most importantly for me, it was the liners and socks by the brand Injinji. I managed to walk approximately 1400 kilometers without any blisters–it was a great investment. The sedge hat (sugegasa) was also a great buy, as it kept me dry from the rain and safe from the sun.”
“You will take the wrong turn at times but don’t worry, it’s all part of the experience. Do it your way, there’s no right or wrong. Go at your own pace, it’s not a race. Enjoy the nature and surroundings, try the local food and have a chat with those you meet. Don’t forget to take breaks and enjoy the beautiful journey with Kobo Daishi (founder of the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage).""
