Shimanto River and cherry blossom views…from a train!

Running alongside the majestic Shimanto River, crossing over dramatic bridges, and passing by idyllic countryside views, the Yodo Line has to be one of my absolute favorite train rides in Japan. In addition to the panoramic views however, this line attracts train enthusiasts from far and wide for its charming designs and themes

Painted a cheerful yellow, the Shiman Torocco Trolley is one of the beloved Yodo Line trains, featuring an open-air carriage, which allows passengers to enjoy unobstructed views and take in the fresh breeze. The train ride is stunning throughout the year, but you’re definitely in for a treat if you get to visit in spring, as you will see the magical collaboration of the Shimanto River and soft pink cherry blossoms!
