Even if you’ve traveled to Japan a couple of times, you may not be able to locate Kochi on a map and that’s okay! Kochi is actually one of the least visited prefectures in Japan, and that may sound a little sad, BUT that is what makes it a true hidden gem. Here, you will find some of the country’s clearest rivers, best katsuo (bonito) you’ve ever tasted (trust me), a historic pilgrimage, one of the twelve remaining original Japanese castles, traditional workshops of ancient crafts that date back hundreds of years (like forging your own one-of-a-kind knife), and SO much more!
If I’ve managed to pique your interest even just a bit, I hope you check out the following information on how to access Kochi from some of Japan’s major cities!
