Touch the sky from the heights of the UFO Line

The UFO Line is a scenic driving route that runs along Kochi’s northern border, reaching up to approximately 1,700 meters (5 times the height of the Eiffel Tower)! The crisp air and blue skies are breathtaking on clear days and the vistas are even more magical after snowfall

The catch, however, is that the road is closed during the winter months from late November to early April. So, to witness these views with your own eyes, hiking is the way to go! The fastest route up Mt. Iyo-Fuji takes about two hours one way, starting from the Mt. Kanpu Tunnel South Entrance

Although the views are beautiful, the weather can change quickly at these heights, so please make sure you are well equipped and start early enough to be back before dark
During winter, roads can be icy so please check the weather conditions and make sure your vehicle is suitably equipped
