Magical snow and 400-year-old Kochi Castle
It rarely snows in Kochi City (at least not this much), so we were all surprised to wake up around Christmas over a year ago in 2022 with these magical winter views. Familiar streets and buildings looked entirely different in the thick blanket of snow, bringing to life the winter wonderland dream
Snowfall like this is certainly rare (besides mountainous areas) but surely possible! If you’re traveling to Kochi over the next couple of months, I encourage you to keep an eye out on the forecast. Of course, even if it doesn’t snow, Kochi Castle is still one of the coolest architectural gems in Japan (not like I'm biased or anything), so I’m sure you won’t be disappointed in any case!
