Sada Chinkabashi is the longest of the Shimanto River’s iconic submersible bridges, and it’s also one of the easiest to access. Only 7.4 kilometers from Nakamura Station, it makes for the perfect destination to visit especially by bicycle! Pick your ride at Shimanto River Rental Cycles right next to the station and you’re ready to go!
Once you’ve made it to Sada Chinkabashi, take a relaxing stroll across the bridge, marvel at the crystal-clear water, or explore the rocky riverbank to take in the stunning view from a different perspective
Need refreshments? The adorable Hotori coffee truck offers a range of delicious drinks including specialty coffee, apple juice, ginger ale using local Shimanto ginger, lemonade made with green lemons locally-grown in Kuroshio Town nearby, and more
Did I mention cats? Bamu and Chobi love to hang around the coffee truck on sunny days, so definitely keep an eye out! You’re extra lucky if you get to see them both at the same time
