Kochi is a dream for all types of outdoor enthusiasts from hikers to surfers, and of course…cyclists! We’ve got you covered
This particular cycling route ties Konan City (east of Kochi City) to the old samurai town of Aki, known for its Edo-period residences (1603 – 1868) and iconic 130-year-old Nora Dokei (field clock)
During the 18-kilometer route, you’ll get to enjoy incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, dynamic mountains in the distance, lush pine trees and old tunnels that feel rich in history
Definitely keep an eye out for the Akano Rest Area (easily recognizable by its white, pointy-roofed landmark), where you’ll get to ride under a tunnel of cherry blossoms between late March to early April
If that isn't cycling paradise, we don't know what is!
