Nikobuchi and Niyodo Blue

Located upstream on the Niyodo River, the "miraculously clear river", is Nikobuchi, a small waterfall plunge pool where the water is so crystal clear that you can see the bottom. The "Niyodo Blue" is very rarely exposed to the direct sunlight as the basin is at the bottom of a valley surrounded by trees. Also, the color of the water can turn from blue to emerald green depending on the time of the day.
Nikobuchi is so sacred that it is believed that a giant snake, an incarnation of a water god, lives there. Most locals don't go to that secret place, so tourists can enjoy its atmosphere quietly. As the beauty of the scenery is unrivaled, we have decided to share with you the picture below. We hope it will help you refresh your mind during these uncertain times.
