Water lilies

Water lilies of Kochi’s water garden are blooming!

Did you know that the famous French painter Monet created around 250 oil paintings of water lilies?

The period from July to October is highly recommended to visit the Water garden at Kitagawa Monet Garden as you can see the famous lush blue water lilies that can only be seen at the Monet’s Garden of Kochi (they cannot be viewed in France)!

At Water garden, you can enjoy several replicas of Monet's artworks that surround the ponds and bridges, including a replica of Monet's best-known work, “Water Lilies” (Les Nymphéas).

It is the perfect place to take remarkable pictures, isn’t it? Here are some photographs to give you an idea of how beautiful the combination of French and Japanese landscapes is.
