Welcome early spring at Sugimoto Shrine

On February 25th of this year, thousands of locals and visitors will gather at Sugimoto Shrine for one of Kochi’s three major festivals. At the shrine–believed to have been first built in 793–families, friends, and individuals pray for a healthy, prosperous and plentiful year, while enjoying traditional dance performances
