Sameura Dam

Lake Sameura (Sameura Dam), whose construction began in 1963 and which was completed in 1975, is a multipurpose reservoir that has the largest storage capacity in Shikoku. A road circling around the reservoir from the dam to the Yoshinogawa Bridge is known as a street lined with 2,000 cherry trees that bloom in spring. You can also see blue and purple hydrangea flowers along a 2-km section of the road in summer. In autumn, the water surface reflects red and yellow tinted autumnal leaves. You can enjoy fishing, wakeboarding and riding on personal water craft in the lake as well as cycling on its shores.
