“Tosajiro” is a brand of chickens raised locally in Kochi Prefecture for both eggs and meat. They grow by eating pumpkins, bell peppers, and green and yellow vegetables in addition to carefully selected compound feed. Tosajiro chicken meat has a crunchy texture and contains relatively less fat. Therefore, the longer you chew the meat, the more flavorsome it becomes. Their eggs are smaller than ordinary ones, but their yolks are large and have a rich taste.
