Sawachi (big dish) cuisine

Sawachi cuisine is a type of buffet in which various dishes are served on big plates and bowels of about 40cm. The basic menu includes 4 items; sashimi, seared foods, sushi (mackerel shaped sushi) and various other combinations, and the custom is to also have fresh slices of raw sea bream for celebrations. One dish of sawachi cuisine for 2-3 people is served at parties, and it is expected that customers will take as much as they like to eat on the small serving plates provided.
