Tosa Hojosai (Harvest Festival)

This festival is a full-scale food festival which highlights autumnal delicacies and seasonally popular produce such as “returned bonito” (spring and autumn), fresh rice, trout and edible wild plants that Kochi citizens are proud to share with tourists. During the festival from September to November, large-scale food fairs with special emphasis on local ingredients are held at several locations in the prefecture. Many small and big food events are held simultaneously to allow tourists to savor the taste of Kochi food.
