Hands-on salt making was offered starting 13 years ago as a way to encourage the spread of natural salt from Kochi. This program was part of this. We feel it is important to get the children to see where salt is produced and understand its significance. We want people to known that it is because of the natural environment of Kochi, its beautiful seas, sun and wind, that allow us to make salt.
