The area around the Shimanto River is considered a mecca for cycling. There are very few hills along the roads that snake languidly along the banks of the river, and you can amble along at your own pace as you listen to the gentle babbling of the stream carried on soft breezes. From a bicycle, you can fully enjoy the landscapes, the tiny flowers growing by the roadside, the rural scenery spreading out against a backdrop of mountains, that you will miss travelling by car. Having fun going around the “sinking bridges,” some of the famous sights of the Shimanto River. Visitors can enjoy strolling around four unique sinking bridges near the River Park: No. 1 Mishima Bridge, No. 2 Mishima Bridge, Kayabukute Sinking Bridge, and Satokawa Sinking Bridge.
