Ayu (sweetfish) angling by decoy

Sweetfish, called “ayu” in Japan, are born in rivers and grow up in the ocean. They are freshwater fish that come back to their native rivers again. Because sweetfish have a good flavor, they are also referred to as “flavor fish.” It is possible to angle for natural sweetfish by decoy in Kochi Prefecture. Angling by decoy is a fishing method in which hooked active sweetfish are released into the river in place of lures in an attempt to attract other sweetfish and catch them. It is a luxury leisure activity that will give you the treat of top-quality sweetfish.
